Nothing is more embarrassing than having a stinky odor in your car that you just can’t get rid of. When people step into your vehicle, they try to be polite but you know they’re getting a disgusting whiff of the smell and holding their noses behind your back.

But in this clip, YouTuber 4DIYers shows us how to deodorize our vehicles. It’s actually a pretty simple solution that everyone can use.

Because the host used to work as a car detailer, he knows from firsthand experience that this is the best method for removing foul smells.

Not only will your vehicle smell better after following the directions in the video, the source of the stink will have been dealt with so you don’t have to worry about it coming back anytime soon.

You’ll need to pick up a car deodorizer kit from your local auto body shop. These can be pricey but they’re definitely worth the investment if your car is stinky.

Feed the tube into your air vent with it attached to the spray can.

He presses the button which releases a foam-like solution. It goes into the vehicle and will kill the source of odor.

If your car has a cabin filter, you will want to remove it because it filters out the exterior air that comes into the car. You’ll want to check these from time to time because they can cause an odor in your vehicle if they haven’t been checked and cleaned.

He has removed the filter and sprayed the solution into its slot. Then he reinstalls the filter.

Next he starts the vehicle to run the air vents which vaporizes the foam and kills the odor.

But you don’t want to breathe this stuff in. Turn your fan off. Turn your directional selector on head and feet. Don’t put the recirculate button on.

Then start up the vehicle. Turn the fan all the way up. Close all the windows and let it run for 15 minutes. But make sure you leave the car so you don’t have to breathe in the stuff.
