School lunch in Saitama, Japan is a different kind of fun.
Some schools are really doing their best to prepare their students for life after their education is over. Like this elementary school located in Saitama, Japan. They turned the lunch time into a 45-minute educational period, same as math or reading. Students have their own vegetables farm where they grow and peel their own vegetables. Once the meals are ready they serve them to their own peers inside their classroom. And they do full cleanups after lunch.
Each step in the whole lunch process is thoroughly planned to be educational, collaborative and fun. It’s no surprise that lunch is student’s favorite part of a day!
