The music lovers everywhere that have been on the outside, the Warped Tour will be coming to an end this year. That means that one of the last traveling music festivals will be disappearing from the US soon. This is pretty sad music as a tour has been going on since the 90s and has captured the hearts of all types of youth across the nation. People are even known to fly from other countries in order to enjoy this concert. At 8 shows, thousands of people pour in to support their favorite bands and it has long been a platform for new bands to gain an audience.

It’s a little perplexing to see the tour coming to the end as it has only seen growth in recent years. The alternative music style has been finding more and more popularity in the mainstream and because of that it has continued to grow. Why would they want to end it at its peak and being one of the only touring music festivals left is beyond me. Of course, fans everywhere are extremely upset with the decision. Everything even seemed normal during the tour’s announcements. The owner of the tour is saying that they will continue on in another fashion.

]We aren’t really sure what this means as a tour has always been known for going across the United States, giving you access to bands they would otherwise not be able to see. On top of that, I don’t see people as willing to travel for the festival now that it will be a lot smaller. It’s pretty sad to see things like this start to end as Vans Warped Tour used to be one of the staples of the summer. Now we don’t have much to look forward to other than hoping our favorite bands come to town. This will never compare to going to an all-day concert where you get at least 9 hours of music.

Hopefully, somebody will step up and take up the mantle that Warped Tour has left behind. It will be more than welcome to see a new music festival pop up after all these years for fans to attend. Lately, people have even said that Warped Tour has gone downhill by allowing kids in so easily. This could be a great chance for a more mature music festival compared to what Warped Tour has had in the last few years. It would also be nice to see artists be given another platform to have a rise to fame.
